Discipleship Model
Along with business and product courses, participants will engage in the A.W.A.K.E. International Bible Certification Program and will study courses such as The Gospels, Book Acts, Pauline Letters, Discipleship and more.
The Impact
The desire of A.W.A.K.E. International Ministries is to impact communities and the marketplace for Jesus. Therefore, Biblical training is a large component of our curriculum. There is no such thing as a Christian business. A business isn’t human, it is an entity all its own. But Christians behind the business, the ones who put blood, sweat, and tears into it have an opportunity in the marketplace that few have.
Participants in our programs are already Christians and are deeply connected with their local church. We will build upon the foundation already there. We will teach being intentional in asking God to bring forth the client that needs impacted (Proverbs 3: 5-6). We will teach seeking God in all business decisions and taking the mindset that HE alone provides and protects us as we are in the world (Psalm 18:35). We will teach that debt out of control is a bad thing. “Don’t be a slave to the lender” (Proverbs 22:7). We will teach to ask God for favor as Nehemiah did when speaking with King Artaxerxes (Nehemiah 1:11-ff). We will teach goal setting (Habakkuk 2:2), how to delegate as Jethro taught Moses (Exodus 18:21), how to save for the future as Joseph did (Exodus 41), and finally how to praise our God for EVERYTHING! (I Thessalonians 5:18). As more and more participants come into our program, we will adjust our curriculum to fit the need and landscape of the times.
The Impact we hope we have on the world is the public seeing AWAKE business owners as honest, hardworking, persevering, wise and successful people. Our owners will become a center of opportunity for employment and advancement in their communities. There will be a natural draw and a natural question of “what makes you different?” As the Apostle Peter instructed “Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have.”
The Vision we have for our A.W.A.K.E. participants beyond commerce is that they will become Bible teachers and small group leaders. As the synergy of these Bible-Believing-Christ Honoring small groups accelerates, entire regions will be won for our Lord Jesus Christ.
